How to Burn DVDs from AVI Files with DVD Flick

This guide will show you how to burn DVD's from AVI files on your PC, which can then be played on standalone DVD players or your PS2, portable DVD player. The guide is also step-by-step so its easy to read and follow.
Steps1 First download this FREE software called "DVD Flick" from their website (http://www.dvdflick.net/download.php) and install it on your computer. This software can convert many different types of video file formats into DVD files and also burn these files to a blank dvd that can be played on most dvd players.
After it's installed, open DVD Flick and you will see a screen which is not as complicated as other software. Click on "Add Title" on the right hand side.

Find your AVI file on your PC by locating it on the pop-up window. Click on "Open" then it will be added. Now click on "Edit Title" which is just underneath "Add Title".

Another screen will pop up. Now, for UK people do the following- where it says "Target aspect Ratio", make sure it says "Widescreen", unless you want otherwise.

Then Click "Create Chapters Every" and select 5 or 10 minutes, its up to you, It is suggested to pick 5. At the bottom click "use as Default" so you won't have to do this every time you burn.

Click "Accept"- Unless you want to add subtitles- It is not recommend because they appear delayed on the finished DVD.

When you have clicked "Accept", you will be back to your original screen.

Right at the top, there will be controls, "new project", "open project" YOU NEED TO CLICK ON "Project Settings".

Now choose your target size, usually you can just leave it as DVD[4.3].

Click on "Video" and choose PAL (UK and the rest of the world), or NTSC(America).

Now skip the rest and go to the bottom option- "Burning". Click "Burn project to disc" and also "Automatically erase disc if it is rewritable".
At the bottom is says "Use as defaults" again, make sure you click it to avoid having to do this every time you make a DVD.
Click "Accept". You will be on the main screen again now.
Right at the bottom it says "Project destination folder", click on "Browse" at the side of it and choose where you want your files to be saved temporarily- these are the files that are going to be burnt to disc.
Once you have done that, you are READY!!

Right at the top it says "Create DVD", click it and it will start. Remember, the bigger the file the longer it will take to burn. Just as a guide to the time it takes- 700mb takes about 3 hours 30 minutes. 900mb takes over 4 hours.
Now we wait, you DON'T want to do anything else while you are burning, it will slow it down. you might want to get a drink or two.
When it's burned you can click the software off and watch your DVD!
There is NO menu the film just starts but it is great quality.
